Emotional Freedom Technique
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT, or tapping) is a form of therapy that is very effective in helping to resolve physical and psycho-emotional issues. The approach blends Western therapeutic dialogue with Eastern energy medicine concepts, targeting meridians and acupressure points from traditional Chinese medicine.
EFT is a valuable resource to accompany any therapeutic process — particularly for releasing chronic or acute physical or psycho-emotional symptoms arising from unresolved trauma or PTSD.
What EFT Helps With
- Anxiety and phobia management
- Physical pain reduction
- Emotional stress and trauma resolution
- PTSD and unresolved trauma
- Goal implementation and performance
How It Works
EFT operates on the principle that vital energy (Prana, Ki, or Chi) flows through body meridians. When this energy flow is disrupted, distress manifests as pain or emotional difficulty. By tapping specific points on the face, upper body, and hands while focusing on a troubling experience, the energy flow is restored.
Practitioners guide clients through identifying problematic experiences while tapping and repeating relevant phrases, gently releasing the emotional charge associated with those experiences.
