Including the Spiritual in the Inquiry
Changing our lives by paying attention to subtle experiences.
Buddhist Psychotherapy at Conscious Alignment follows the Core Process Psychotherapy methodology from England's Karuna Institute. As a contemplative psycho-spiritual approach, it examines present experience and how past conditioning manifests in the here and now.
The methodology integrates awareness of feelings, sensations, energies, mental states, and bodily expressions — recognising that these are not separate from each other but deeply interconnected aspects of who we are. It invites clients to enquire into the rich and complex experience of being human, discovering pathways toward inner peace, compassion, and joy.
The goal of the work is not to change our experience, but to understand how we relate to it and how that can lead to suffering.
What to Expect
Sessions are held in a quiet, supportive space — in-person in Lisbon or online. The work is gentle but can be profound. You do not need to be a Buddhist or have any prior meditation experience to benefit.
